Molde, Norway

I first visited Molde in 2012 as a substitute port for three others that were cancelled. I visited the town and my description is found here: https://lesliesh.wordpress.com/2012/07/26/molde-norway/

Today, I took a tour of the Atlantic Ocean Road. The rain hampered my  ability to take nice photos.  First we stopped at the lookout above Molde (photos.)  We then drove past very lush farmland (photo) to Bud, a fishing village facing the ocean where we had a brief photo stop (photo).  We then headed for the Atlantic Ocean Road.  This  8.5 km road is described as a stunning piece of engineering that zigzags across bridges and causeways from island to island touching very narrow pieces of land as it proceeds from where the mainland ends and the ocean begins to various islands, ending with the islands on which the town of Kristiansund is located (photos).   We returned to Molde past more farmland and through a tunnel.   It was an interesting tour and the scenery was beautiful. Our next port is Geiranger.

Glad to see another good pic of your cruise ship from afar/on high. (BTW, I’m currently in Quebec City, and am pleased to see and learn that it’s getting more and more cruise ship visits.)
