Nouméa, New Caledonia

I was here in 2010 and this is a link to my blog post:

Since today  was  a Monday, all of the museums and the aquarium, which I had hoped to visit, were closed.  I took a walk around the town and stopped for some free Wi Fi in the city park. There has been quite a lot of construction in this town though not as much as I saw in Suva.  Here are are few photos. The first shows the processing plant near the harbour where the main export, nickel, is processed. The others show views of the town, the bay and the outlet to the ocean. We arrive at Sydney, Australia on Thursday and the second part of my cruise, the circumnavigation of  Australia, commences.

Enjoy the last leg of our first journey Leslie. I’m sure your next cruise will be just as exciting. We are still in Malta where it’s still high summer. We are here for another three weeks then on to Toronto for a couple of days and finally Ottawa.
